I grew up in the small town of Hallettsville, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Prior to law school I worked as a petroleum landman where I researched title to land for oil and gas companies. I continued to work as a landman during and after law school. My extensive knowledge in tracing mineral title and conducting genealogy research helped me make a natural transition into probate law and estate planning.

Terry W. Hammond is the former Executive Director of the National Guardianship Association, for which he also previously served as past president and served on the Board of Directors for a decade. Mr. Hammond has been certified as a National Certified Guardian by the Center for Guardianship Certification and is a certified guardianship mediator. Mr. Fuqua, a native Houstonian, represents clients in matters relating to the drafting of wills, trusts, ancillary documents and related estate planning documents. He has experience in probate administration and litigation including but not limited to representing creditors in probate proceedings, representing applicants and contestants in guardianship proceedings, representing personal representatives, beneficiaries, and guardians in matters relating to the administration of estates and guardianships and related matters.
