Together with my two associates, and two assistants, we help clients make plans to ensure that death or disability doesn't cause a legal mess. We also help clients who have experienced a death or incapacitating incident in their family, and we help Executors, Trustees, and Beneficiaries solve problems in the operation of an estate or a trust. There, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government/Political Science and a double minor in Business and Interdisciplinary Studies. Seeking to amplify his education, Daniel entered St. Mary’s University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor. Prior to becoming an attorney, Joe Lassen served as a police officer with the New York City Police Department and retired as a Lieutenant after 20 years of service. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1993 from the John Jay College in Legal Studies and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2002. While in law school, Joe worked for the NYPD’s prosecutor’s office, handling high profile corruption cases. Joe was a first responder on September 11th at the World Trade Center and shares a special affinity for all military branches and first responders.

I grew up in the small town of Hallettsville, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Prior to law school I worked as a petroleum landman where I researched title to land for oil and gas companies. I continued to work as a landman during and after law school. My extensive knowledge in tracing mineral title and conducting genealogy research helped me make a natural transition into probate law and estate planning.

I retired from the Air Force in the grade of colonel after having served 29 1/2 years active duty. I was a three-time commander at the detachment, squadron and group levels. My first passion is caring about and caring for families in the broader community because they are the foundation of our nation. My other passion is to continue what I did while on active duty - caring about and caring for servicemembers, federal civil servants and families -- whether still serving or in retirement -- in honor of their contributions to our nation.
