I have been practicing Family Law for over four years and I enjoy helping people through the difficult times in their lives. I began practicing family law to help children with disabilities and their families. I now help all types of families through custody disputes and divorces by focusing on the needs of the children and the concerns of the parents. My goal is to help the families work together not just during the current difficulties but also in the future.

Matthew has been nominated as a Rising Star in 2021 and 2022 in the field of Family Law. Only 2.5% of all attorneys receive this honor chosen by other attorneys.

Duke Bonilla is a South Texas native and belongs to a network of family members practicing law throughout Texas. He proudly served as a member of the Texas A&M University Corp of Cadets, and obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He is a law school graduate of South Texas College of Law. A long time advocate of education and community involvement, Duke worked himself up the school district system ladder as a History teacher, Coach, Administrator, and Campus Principal. I was born in Roswell, NM in 1956 and completed my 12th grade at Stavanger American School in Stavanger, Norway in June 1974. I graduated with a B.S. in Criminal Justice Theory and Research, along with a minor in Government from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas in May 1978.
