Dixie was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and attended college at Penn State University, where she was a member of many on-campus organizations, including Sigma Kappa sorority. She came to New Orleans to attend Loyola University College of Law, and upon graduation, could not bring herself to leave. Dixie is now a happy resident of Uptown, New Orleans, where she lives with her hound dog, Boone. She is a member of the American Bar Association, and Jefferson Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and Louisiana Bar Association – Family Law Section.

Kathryn Lawrence is a Criminal Defense and Family Law attorney in Ruston, Louisiana. She received her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
