Clay attended high school in Stockton, California (Benjamin Franklin) and in Jacksonville, Florida (Ed White and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts). I was born and raised in Tampa, where I attended Thomas Jefferson High School and earned a certificate from the International Academy of Law and Criminal Justice. My academic journey led me to Florida State University, where I pursued an undergraduate degree in Communications. During my time at FSU, I was actively involved in the Black Student Union Political Action Committee, Golden Key Honor Society, National Society for Collegiate Scholars, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.
