Practice limited to Criminal Defense. Over 35 Years I have handled everything from traffic tickets to murder successfully. My practice has included being an Assistant District Attorney, elected Criminal District Attorney and Judge Advocate in the Texas Military Forces.

I have 27 years of criminal experience. For 10 years I gained my core experience at the Dallas County District Attorney's trying jury trials and the last 17 Ive been protecting individuals rights. Ive tried over 300 jury trials and handled over 9000 criminal cases in Federal and State courts. I was fortunate to gain extensive Federal experience by working for former United States Attorney James Rolfe. My experience ranges from every type of Federal case to over 140 murder cases in State court.

I attended Texas Wesleyan School of Law, graduating in 2010. Since then I've practiced in criminal law for a decade, the majority of that time in Austin, handling cases in Travis County and throughout the Central Texas area. I've handled a wide variety of cases--from murder to minor drug charges.

My approach is simple listen to my client's needs and I get the best results for them possible.

Born and raised in Texas, I began practicing in Austin in 2014. In that time, I have learned the value of a client-centered approach focused on communication with all my clients. I launched ATX Legal in 2021 because I wanted to replicate the client-focused approach I had developed over five years and hundreds of clients. A large percentage of my business comes from referrals from previous clients because they know the kind of value I deliver and the level of care I take in each case. Sean J. Kilgore was born in Houston, Texas and was raised in Galveston. He moved to North Texas in 2006. He is married to Tiffani Lohmann Kilgore, and has two sons, William and Clayton.
