After years in the banking industry, I followed my dream of being a lawyer and now give my all to help my clients get the best possible results in the areas of criminal, family, and personal injury law.

I am certified in Criminal Law and Criminal Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and as a Criminal Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. I practice primarily criminal defense at the trial and appellate levels. While I have cases in state and federal civilian courts, my caseload focuses heavily on military law, including courts-martial, administrative separation boards, correction of records (but NOT discharge upgrades), security clearances, and other administrative issues.

I have been practicing since 1993 primarily in family law. Divorce, child support, custody, enforcement and probate.

Douglas Atkinson was born and raised in Texas and moved to Conroe in 1976. Douglas attended the South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in 1995. Mr. Jackson was raised in Conroe, graduating from Conroe High School in 1985. He opened his practice in 1992 and has since represented clients throughout the State of Texas and the United States.
