Attorney Timothy M. Schafer is the founding partner of The Law Offices of Schafer & Schafer, LLP, which he established in 2008. Mr. Schafer served on active duty as Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1994 until 1998, when he earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science. From 2001 until 2004, he served as a reservist. I am a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford and Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. I am past president of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and although the majority of the practice is appeals and trial litigation, as a country lawyer in Old Lyme I have always helped people with real estate closings, wills, trusts, estates and the probate process. including will contests and probate litigation. I have argued successfully at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Connecticut Supreme Court.
