Jim grew up in Golden, Colorado and earned his B.A. degree with distinction in mathematics at the University of Colorado in 1969 as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa scholastic fraternity. In 1973 he received a Master of Divinity degree at the University of Denver Iliff School of Theology. Mr. Wells has been litigating cases in Colorado courts for nearly 15 years. He has handled various matters from civil actions to domestic relations cases involving complex financial and custody issues (including parental alienation/estrangement). Mr. Wells handles appellate matters and has successfully challenged trial court rulings in appellate courts. Mr. Wells’ litigation training began as a law intern to Judge Angela Arkin during the Fall of 2003.
