In this position, I dealt with children and families in need of assistance and who were juvenile delinquents. This position led to my desire to narrow my focus on family law and domestic relations.

- I was awarded Colorado Rural Legal Services' first Board of Directors' award for nine and one-half years of service to Legal Service. It was a very fulfilling time of my legal career and a hard choice to depart from the agency.
