Thomas Howard has for 28 years been handling intellectual property litigation nationwide, including patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation. Mr. Howard also conducts complex civil litigation, including breach of contract, interference with contract, fraud and similar business dispute related claims.
Mr. Howard has won and successfully settled multiple intellectual property cases both at the trial and appellate levels. For instance, in Savant Homes v. Collins, attorney Howard represented Colorado defendants sued for copyright infringement. He successfully had all claims dismissed and obtained an award of attorney’s fees from the US District Court for the District of Colorado. That decision was upheld on appeal. In Saturn Systems, Inc. v. Militare, Attorney Howard tried a matter in the Denver District Court that included claims under the Colorado Uniform Trade Secrets Act and breach of contract, and obtained damages, legal fees and injunctive relief. That decision was also upheld on appeal.

Attorney Howard is also very familiar with the drafting and negotiation of business agreements, and regularly assists small and large companies in the negotiation and drafting of contractual agreements related to business and intellectual property matters.
Mr. Howard's firm also regularly files patents, trademarks and copyrights and represents trademark clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
