- I began practicing law in Springfield Illinois in 1981. In 2000, my partner became a judge, and I have been solo since that time. I formerly took on virtually any case. But the law has now grown too complicated for me to be "all things to all people". As a result, I limit my practice to a few areas, and I know the law in those areas quite well.

525 Questions Answered
- Q. Is it legal for a cop to come to my house looking for my adult daughter and look through my closed kitchen blinds?
- A: Week later is not unusual. But an arrest a week later he comes to arrest her, after he has already issued the citation? That is very odd. In fact, arresting someone for an no insurance ticket is strange. If I were you, I would have a conversation with the chief of police for the department.
- Q. I received a speeding ticket for going 70 in a 45 construction zone, no workers present. Do I need a lawyer?
- A: Show up and if you do not like the offer, tell them you want a lawyer. If they offer court supervision, take it.
- Q. Can a judge stop DA FROM Dropping MY CASE ON MARCH 5 STATE SAID THEY DONT HAVE NO CASE Said they GOING DISMISS MY CASE
- A: I assume this is the same person who asked about this situation on AVVO. I judge can decline to dismiss a case even if the state requests it.
