Claimed Lawyer ProfileQ&A
Summary

“I much appreciate the clear and concise advice in a very straight forward business communication style! Shawn is a fountain of business knowledge that he can couple with his legal expertise to communicate with the business world as well as the public at large.” G.M. "Shawn is my attorney for 4 businesses including one that is international. He is precise, thorough, and is always looking out for my best interest. His follow through is impeccable and he goes the distance in making sure I understand the legal jargon. If you need someone to get the job done right the first time - contact him immediately. I depend on him fully for all of my legal issues”. D.L. “He is professional, and very knowledgeable and responsive. I have worked with Shawn on more than one occasion and I have found him to resolve my legal issues promptly and with an impressive expertise and at a reasonable price. Shawn is very thorough when it comes to protecting and representing his clients, and when I work with Shawn I am completely confident that I am in the best of hands. Shawn is the guy you want in your corner!” T. “I appreciate your ability to help me quickly clarify legal issues and to guide me toward a negotiated settlement. You have helped me avoid making decisions that escalate a problem while keeping an eye on the bigger picture of solving problems. In the end, it is about conflict resolution, not about being right.” A.H. “I am so happy to have such a great and accomplished attorney on my side who is a bright and creative thinker and always looking out to protect my interests, and who is also pleasant to know and work with, (that's a really unusual combination)!” T.F. “We would have been completely lost without Shawn’s guidance. I had a client that was not paying me for my work and was also trying to hold my money hostage to try to make me sign a completely inappropriate NDA. Shawn handled the situation perfectly and not only was I compensated in full

Legal Answers
5 Questions Answered

Q. Is there anything legal that can help i feel as if they are committing a crime as a shady business
A: The short answer is to let them know that if you do not get "what you paid for" … then you will want to post an adverse review on Yelp and to take them to small claims court to get your money back and/or to receive what you paid for.
Q. Is it fraud to use a line of credit opened by the previous owner of a business I purchased in March of this year?
A: As you might imagine, the first part of the answer will rest in the written Purchase Agreement. The second part of the answer is what an experienced attorney will have to say. The third part of the answer is for you to send that document via email to an attorney of your choice as you schedule your free initial consultation by video call or telephone call. Q. I work for a contractor and he's been waiting on payment from a corporation since June of 2019 . What is taking so long?
A: Have you explored Small Claims Court … and you will want to engage a free initial consultation by video call or telephone call with at least two attorneys of your choice … Shawn Jackson - Business Development Attorney
Q. I made a custom jewelry piece for a customer. He wants to cancel It but im charging labor fees. Can he sue?
A: Interesting … I owned Jewelry stores for over 20 years … and sometimes this issue came up. As with any such agreement, with foreseeable and reasonable reliance upon the terms of the agreement, you are entitled to restitution for those costs & expenses that you cannot reasonably "return" to suppliers. So, if you have performed services and/or purchased items that cannot be returned, you are entitled to receive restitution for your time, costs and expenses. With this being said, we do live in an "online review" world where customers can voice their dissatisfaction, whether valid or not … so, some of your final decision will be "legal" … some will be "business" and some will be "customer satisfaction". Your thoughts … Shawn Jackson - Business Development Attorney.
Q. I contacted a business I like to ask if I can buy shares of their company. They emailed me back 2forms but I know diddly
A: The first step is to set up the initial free consultation via video call with reviewing the documents on screen. You will want to "interview" at least three business attorneys who have both business ownership experience and expertise in such matters. Shawn Jackson - Business Development Attorney
