I am deeply passionate about civil rights, particularly in the areas of labor and employment. I understand the struggles of making ends meet, the significant portion of our lives dedicated to our jobs, and the crucial need to advocate for employee rights.
My journey in law began in the nonprofit sector, driven by my aspiration to serve the public. My career has taken me through various organizations such as Equality California, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law. Before my current position at Mozaffari Law, I worked as an attorney at Lambda Legal. It was there that I developed a profound interest in employment law and recognized its immense potential to safeguard individual rights.
I obtained my J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where I focused on Critical Race Studies. During my time at law school, I was the co-chair of the Law Women chapter and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Women’s Law Journal. To support myself, I spent many nights and weekends working at a local indie bookstore. Prior to law school, I earned my B.A. in English Literature from UC Irvine, minoring in Gender & Sexuality Studies.
