S. Edward Wicker, founder and managing attorney of Wicker Law Group in San Diego, CA.
Since being admitted to the California Bar in 1980, I have accumulated over 40 years of legal experience. My office team represents entrepreneurs of all types, with a particular focus on cannabis businesses throughout California. We focus on providing business-oriented legal solutions to cannabis entrepreneurs and companies.

Since the legalization of cannabis in Colorado and Washington in 2012, I have represented many cannabis businesses of all types. My extensive experience includes managing high-value mergers and acquisitions, collaborating with cannabis business brokers, and facilitating numerous transactions across various sectors of the cannabis industry such as storefronts, delivery services, cultivation, and manufacturing.

My team and I are proficient in conducting due diligence investigations and drafting the necessary documents to ensure that all parties involved meet regulatory compliance and that transactions are completed smoothly.

Operating from San Diego, I regularly manage cannabis business transactions throughout California and work with both domestic and international investment groups from Canada, Europe, and other regions. My firm has built a strong reputation for providing reliable legal guidance in the fast-evolving cannabis industry, with a particular focus on cannabis licensing, regulatory compliance, and transactional law.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Los Angeles in 1975, and my Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School in 1979. I have also served as a Judge Pro Tem for the San Diego Superior Court and have extensive experience in both litigation and mediation.
