Ryan Moran-Asalone
Experienced criminal defense attorney with a passion for jury trials
Ryan began his legal career at the Richmond School of Law, volunteering with the Richmond Law Innocence Project and the Legal Aid Society of Central Virginia.
After passing the Virginia Bar, Ryan worked at the Hampton Public Defender's Office for three and a half years. There he tried countless jury trials including his first murder case and cases involving life-mandatory felony offenses. Ryan developed a reputation for being a fearless trial attorney and zealous advocate.
Ryan then worked at the Portsmouth Public Defender's Office, working his way up to the position of Deputy Public Defender. In that capacity, Ryan supervised younger attorneys and trained them in being skilled litigators and effective jury trial advocates.
In Hampton and Portsmouth, Ryan has defended over a thousand clients, some in high-profile cases. Regardless of the charge, Ryan takes every case seriously, as a criminal conviction and the prospect of incarceration carries countless collateral consequences.
Ryan now works in Montgomery County, VA and brings his wealth of trial experience with him.
