After 35 years of working as a trial lawyer, I am still surprised at how much I still love this job. I get to meet so many different folk, in so many different walks of life, and I am always learning something new and challenging.
The down side of doing this work however, is that so often you are dealing with people in a miserable situation. Their lives have been turned upside down by a catastrophe that should have been avoided were it not for the carelessness or wrongdoing of others. It's heartbreaking to see what these clients go through. Its even worse, when the law is sometimes inadequate in helping these people. But clients don't come to you for pity. What they need from you, as their lawyer, is to help pick up the pieces, and obtain justice, in the form of fair compensation.
That is where the up side of doing this work comes in, because there is no greater feeling of accomplishment when you are able to apply the law in the right direction, and get justice for your clients. In the end, it is a basic human need to feel that you made a difference, and made things a little better in this life for others. I get the chance to do this every day when I show up to work. What more can you ask for?

- Q. Notice of Refusal
- A: The question is a bit confusing. Which MC did the DMV refuse? What was refused? What reason did the DMV give you? Did you contact the DMV to see what it requires (to register the MC? ) Anyway the more important question is how are you physically and mentally? Were you injured? How bad? Whose fault was it that caused the incident?
- Q. Got into a car accident, need advice.
- A: Actually there is some case law on this that says you can hold the other driver responsible and if there was a recent visit to a mechanic and a problem wasn't fixed, you could even hold the shop liable.
