I’ve been living in Chesterton for 38 years. I was a coach with the Duneland Soccer Club as well as the past registrar. I also coached Purdue North Central Women’s soccer. I’m very active in my community. I volunteer for several organizations such as the American Legion, where I’m the past Auxiliary President.
I’m a fighter against in justices. So much so that I’ve written new laws, lobbied for those laws and was able to seem them successfully passed into law!!
My approach in Family Law is caring, compassion, and careful listening. You know your story better than anyone else and I will take the time to listen to you. If you’re seeking advice from an attorney, then you are troubled. I will help you understand what legal and non-leagal steps you can take. Together, you and I will find a solution and I will fight for your rights to that solution.
Many times it’s a good idea to meet the whole family. This means children as well. And who wants to bring their children to a lawyers office and try to keep them entertained? No one! That’s why I will come to you. Sit with you in your environment where your children are most comfortable. Especially if there is sensitive information that needs to be shared, the children can be asked to play in their rooms or outside. Helping you, the parent, speak more freely.
Lastly, I’ve been where you are at. There isn’t much I haven’t had to go through in life, including the murder of my eldest son. It’s easy for me to be compassionate and caring. As a parent and grandparent, I understand the day to day struggles. I know that many times it’s the little things added up that need to be addressed.
I’m also occasionally available on the weekend. I am definitely available after “normal” hours. You shouldn’t have to take time off from work to meet with a lawyer.
So you see, I’m not a traditional lawyer, I truly care about what’s going on in your life.
