Have you been injured at work? Are you concerned about losing your employment because of a work related injury? Is your employer advising you relative to your medical care?
I am a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law and a Certified Superior Court Mediator. I have been practicing law and negotiating successful outcomes for my North Carolina clients since 1999. My practice is concentrated in the area of workers' compensation. I am an aggressive advocate focused on understanding and achieving the outcomes that matter to my clients.
I added mediation to my practice in 2016. I have represented individuals in work comp matters before the NC Industrial Commission, North Carolina State Superior and Appellate Courts, US EEOC, US Department of Labor, and United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina. I received my Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of North Carolina, where I was elected to the Order of the Coif.

- Q. I fell through a vent in the floor of my rental property
- A: So sorry this happened to you! These types of cases can be surprisingly difficult under North Carolina law. Whether or not there is a remedy available to you at law is very fact specific. You should seek a consultation from an experienced personal injury lawyer to review the facts of your case in detail. Many personal injury lawyers will provide a free initial consultation. Best regards. Richard
