Biography

The Alvarez Law Firm a Professional Association is a private firm owned by Rachel M. Alvarez. Her practice focuses on financial matters. Rachel’s vision is to aggressively represent her clients in any financial stage for individuals of any walk of life. She is committed to building ongoing relationships with her clients to facilitate their success. Rachel attended the University Of Central Florida where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. Upon graduating she pursued her dream to be an attorney at Regent University School of Law. At the tender age of five Rachel decided to be a lawyer. When asked why her response was simple, “It would be my job to fight for a cause”. Rachel’s passion grew as an adult as she witnessed wrongs that needed to be made right. Raised in a working class system she is familiar with middle ground, where legal assistance was not an option nor were there resources to afford legal counsel. It was these experiences that inspired her to pursue her own practice and make it her goal to assist her community. Rachel’s vision is to aggressively represent her clients in any financial stage for individuals of any walk of life. Rachel was born in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Miami at an early age. Rachel attended the University Of Central Florida from 1995 through 1998 where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. Having a passion for law as a child, Rachel decided to attend law school. Rachel attended Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach and graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2003. As an intern, Rachel worked for the Legal Aid Society of Virginia Beach, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation prosecuting for the Department of Real Estate, and she mediated dispute resolutions for cases that required English to Spanish translation.

Having A Plan For Your Family Is The Right Thing To Do For most people, Estate Planning is a mystery; for others, it’s simply not a priority for the simple reason that there is always time to do it “later”. Most individuals consider Estate Planning to be an issue for the elderly. Unfortunately, it applies to all individuals in any walk of life because we are never promised tomorrow. However, Estate Planning is not necessarily only for what happens after you pass away. Estate Plans can be tailored for an individual’s specific needs or can be suited for specific events that may occur in the future. Tips on Estate Planning in Florida

Effective January 1, 2015 Florida decided to revise the Limited Liability Company Act (let’s call it “the New Act”). This new and improved version of the New Act is to help facilitate the use of the Limited Liability Companies, often referred to as “LLC”. LLCs have become the most popular entity choice in the state of Florida. In fact it is becoming more popular than Corporations. The trend indicates that it will continue to be that way. Florida has more LLCs than any State in the nation including Delaware and it is regularly used for Real Estate purposes. It is important to understand the New Act and how it will affect newly formed LLCs and existing LLCs. Florida Limited Liability Companies "LLC"

As time changes so does our familial structures. Blended families come in many shapes and forms. A blended family is one in which one or both spouses have had a child from a previous relationship. One thing that all blended families have in common is a former spouse or significant other. The state of Florida does not recognize common law marriages but Florida does respect parental rights. Estate planning is one of the most neglected areas in most families. Most people think that this is something you take care of when you reach an elderly age. Estate planning is something that gets done later. Unfortunately, none of us know if we have until later. In my practice I find that most clients that failed to plan ahead are those who have experienced how complex not having an estate plan can be on a family.
