Biography

I have been representing workers injured in Virginia for over thirty years. With a statewide practice, I have represented firefighters in Fairfax, policemen and policewomen in Alexandria, poultry workers in Harrisonburg, auto workers in Dublin, factory workers in Winchester, store workers in Richmond, oyster shuckers in Tappahannock, and construction workers in Loudoun, to name a few.

I have always worked hard for working people.

Larson's National Workers' Compensation Advisory Board
Selected by the LexisNexis Larson's National Workers' Compensation Advisory Board for recognition of Mr. Sweeny's challenge to Virginia's long-standing practice of allowing injured worker's benefits to be suspended by employers and insurance companies prior to a judicial hearing being conducted. Mr. Sweeny has asserted that this practice of the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission is a violation of injured workers due process rights. The challenge, known as "Sweeny's Revenge," is presently proceeding through the Virginia courts.
