Patrick T. Murphy is a Partner in the firm of Dworken & Bernstein Co LPA in Northeast Ohio where he has focused his practice in personal injury litigation for over 27 years. His practice areas include nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, wrongful death and product liability. Patrick Murphy received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Kent State University. He was awarded his law degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law where he was a vice chairman of the Moot Court Board of Governors. He has been designated as an Ohio Super Lawyer since 2009 and as one of the top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers since 2011. In 2007 he was selected as a finalist for Trial Lawyer of the Year by Public Justice for his efforts in obtaining a $52 million class action judgment for injured workers against the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubble. Patrick is an active member in many trial organizations including Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers; Ohio Association for Justice; American Association for Justice; and the AAJ Nursing Home Litigation Group. Pat recently served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Heart Association in Cleveland. He also served for many years as an officer and trustee of Cleveland’s West Side Irish American Club. For the last 32 years he has served as a Delegate, Deputy Director, Executive Director and now Director Emeritus of the United Irish Societies of Greater Cleveland, a non-profit organization whose sole responsibility is the perpetuation and production of Cleveland’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
