The fee depends on the seriousness and complexity of the matter involved. Contingency Fee: A contingency fee is based upon a percentage of money a client collects as the outcome of a case. This method is used mostly in personal injury and wrongful death cases. Hourly Rate: A set hourly rate may be used in some criminal defense and civil litigation cases. When this method is used, a retainer fee is usually required. All initial consultations are free.
