Biography

Nicholas Balboni has worked extensively in the fields of criminal law and personal injury. As a former prosecutor, Mr. Balboni brings a unique insight and skill set to his criminal defense work. During his years with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office he handled over 300 cases ranging from traffic infractions to violent felony charges, and everything in between. He was also among the first generation of prosecutors to interpret and practice in the context of New York’s amended bail and discovery laws. As such he gained an intimate understanding of this legislation and how it can be deployed to protect your rights at every stage of a criminal case.
Since leaving the DA's office, Mr. Balboni has used his experience and litigation skills to fight for hundreds of clients in civil and criminal cases. He has handled a broad range of personal injury matters from slip & fall cases to motor vehicle accidents, helping countless clients obtain both compensation and closure.
