Summary

I am well-established in workers compensation defense matters, including WC audits and discrimination cases. In addition to my busy WC litigation practice, I am educating homeowners and others with domestic help (including elderly companions, nannies and housekeepers) regarding the various laws that affect such employment.

I also work exceptionally with small businesses, such as S-Corps, single-member LLCs and sole proprietors. My background in sport, entertainment and apparel gives me a special insight into these industries, and I teach workshops for creative professionals called THE ACTOR AS A SOLE PROPRIETOR: YOU'RE A BUSINESS. ACT LIKE ONE (SM). This program was first written for actors but has broad application for all "micro-businesses." Sometime after 08/09/10, an adapted version of this program will be available to attorneys seeking Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit on Lawline.com.

Finally, I am a trained mediator with a lifetime of experience in family and business disputes. I bring this conflict resolution expertise into every matter I handle, understanding the financial and emotional costs of litigation.
