Michael earned his law degree with honors from the University of Florida. Before law school, Michael received Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Music Performance, as well as a Master’s Degree in Music. Michael’s degree psychology gave him the training and experience to analyze people and their behaviors. This formal education allows Michael to help his clients make sense of what they are experiencing as they go through a family law case. Michael’s training as a classical musician gave him immeasurable experience performing in high-pressure situations. Combining these two areas is what makes Michael an effective family law attorney. Michael is currently working toward a Master of Business Administration Degree, to ensure that clients’ cases are handled with the highest levels of efficiency.
Michael practiced criminal law as a prosecuted in Panama City, Florida. His cases covered a wide variety of legal issues, from criminal traffic to capital felonies. As a prosecutor, Michael developed his courtroom skills as well as his skills in working with victims and law enforcement to ensure that those who violated the law were held accountable.
Michael is a member of several family law committees within the Florida Bar, including the Family Law Rules & Forms committee, the Family Law Membership committee, and the Family Law Children’s Issues committee.
Michael enjoys practicing family law because he is able to answer a wide range of legal questions. A family law case may have issues in property law, business law, contract law, or criminal law. Michael’s first task in every case is to identify his client’s goals and to continue to work toward those goals as the case develops.
