Mr. Ferrin has been a resident of Florida for over 40 years. He was born in New Orleans and raised in Key West Florida. He received his bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Florida and his law degree from Barry University School of Law. Mr. Ferrin has always had the desire to help individuals which is why he has always worked in private practice. On his path to helping individuals Mr. Ferrin had the opportunity to work for one of Central Florida's largest private bankruptcy firms. While doing so he was able to represent many individuals and small businesses in their bankruptcies some of which had debts exceeding twenty million dollars, $20,000,000. Mr. Ferrin is involved in the following organizations and affiliations: US Bankruptcy Court Middle District of Florida, The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, The Central Florida Bankruptcy Lawyers Association, Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court, and the Orange County Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Ferrin is a former adjunct professor for Everest University.

- Q. I am going through a divorce, I bought myself a car and he is trying to take it for alimony. Can he do that?
- A: The short answer is maybe. We would need a lot of information regarding the total financial picture before we could properly respond to this email. I would recommend retaining an attorney to represent you.
- Q. Can I move out off my home until tells o I am divorced and not get in any trouble and not loose my half of me aets
- A: You can leave the home without affecting any marital rights you may have in the home other than possession and access. Once you leave the home and the divorce is filed, you will not be able to return to the home unless you have a court order or an agreement between you and your husband. Also, if you feel that you are in fear of domestic violence you may want to look into filing for an injunction.
- Q. If I have shared parental responsibility with father in another state can he take her out of state without my permission
- A: You need to take a look at your parenting plan as it should address travel. Usually if a parent wishes to travel with their children during their timesharing they would need to notify the other parent of the dates for travel, the location they are going, tavel information such as flight info etc, as well as a number where they can be reached. If the travel is going to effect the other parents timesharing they would need to have that parents permission for travel during those dates or they can risk being held in contempt for violating the parenting plan. Again, I recommend you look at your parenting plan and if there is any issue contact a local family law attorney to assist you.
