Biography

Melissa F. Brown is a divorce attorney who handles complex family law matters. She is also a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

The complex family law matters include, custody, visitation (multi-state and International), alimony, child support, and property division cases. The firm also handles relocation cases, enforcement proceedings, modification proceedings, and drafting Settlement Agreements.

As an experienced South Carolina divorce and custody attorney and Certified Family Court mediator, she understands the impact divorce can have on clients and their families. Thus, our firm strives to minimize conflict and amicably resolve each case. While our goal is to help clients reach an agreement, we still zealously advocate for each client.

Melissa's Best Advice: Stay married- if you can. If not, find a caring, experienced, knowledgeable family law attorney who matches your personality - someone in whom you instinctively trust and gives you good advice, even when you might not want to hear it!
