6 Questions Answered
Q. My window contractor cancelled installation due to pandemic. Am I still bound?
A: Did the contractor actually cancel or did s/he postpone the work? If the contractor actually canceled, than neither party should have obligations to the other party. If the work was postponed, an attorney would have to review the contract to give you a clear answer.
Q. We made arrangements to rent a condo in Florida from April 3rd to April 12, 2020. We would like our full payment back
A: There should be a rental contract that dictates what happens in these instances. Without that, an attorney can't give you proper guidance as to your options.
Q. In 2020 I noticed the business I co-owned is registered but I am no longer listed. What is the significance?
A: Without knowing what kind of business entity you have (LLC, partnership, corporation, etc), it is not possible to give you a complete answer. I agree with the other attorneys that the corporate documents that outline your relationship will control what happens here. If there are none, it will depend on the type of business entity.
