Biography
Although my firm practices in several different fields of law, my expertise is primarily in Mortgage Foreclosure Defense,Divorce & Family Law, Bankruptcy, and Mortgage loan modification. In terms of divorce law, I have a unique prospective from both my personal and professional experience that few other attorneys can match. 2578 Questions Answered
- Q. How to settle deceased brother's credit card debt in NJ with no will?
- A: I am sorry that you lost your brother. Probate is not a simple process and you are emotionally involved and not a trained attorney. They advise attorneys not to represent themselves. You need to be represented by a Probate attorney. The Estate, not the heirs are responsible for the descendant's debts.
- Q. Boyfriend accused of DV seeks advice on proving innocence with evidence and pursuing defamation suit.
- A: Your boyfriend (in addition to the criminal defense attorney) is going to need a matrimonial attorney with extensive domestic violence experience. The best thing for your boyfriend to do is to retain attorneys for each case that have experience working together. Attorney Aalsberg is the best criminal attorney you can retain for this matter. Pick the best attorney you can find and remember one rule: a good attorney is generally never cheap, and a cheap attorney is generally never good so don't choose based on price.
- Q. Protection for home title in mother's name due to age restrictions in NJ community.
- A: That would be a very serious mistake for all the reason you mentioned and more. NEVER ever get another family member or significant other or spouse involved with something you own. In addition a 55+ community will have a home owners associate, which I always tell my clients to avoid like the plague. Pick the best attorney you can find and remember one rule: a good attorney is generally never cheap, and a cheap attorney is generally never good so don't choose based on price. With modern technology, you can be represented by any high-quality attorney in New Jersey irrespective of geography.
