Kyle attended Drake University for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and History, with a minor in Political Science. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law. While there, he participated in many legal groups and activities, such as the Journal of Gender, Race, and Justice, Appellate & Trial Advocacy, and Arbitration Competitions.
Prior to joining Stange Law Firm in Topeka, Kyle worked in several county attorney’s offices gaining valuable experience. He has worked as an Assistant County Attorney in Sedgwick County where he assisted in preparation for jury trials and managed a daily hearing docket that included motions, probation violations, and preliminary hearings and sentencing hearings. His experience also includes work at the Finney County Attorney’s office where he analyzed and filed charges on a number of misdemeanor and low-level felony cases. From there he worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office, managing a full caseload of traffic, misdemeanor, and low-level felony cases. His duties included handling daily dockets, formulating plea offers with defense attorneys, and analyzing and arguing a variety of legal issues facing his clients.
