Khara Moody is a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology in 2011. Khara earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2014. During Law School, Khara completed classes that focused on civil litigation and training future trial lawyers, allowing her to earn the John P. Gismondi Civil Litigation Certificate. She interned for non-profits with a focus on landlord-tenant litigation, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Department of Justice’s Access to Justice Initiative in Washington, D.C.
Prior to her employment with Schwartz Law Firm, P.C., Khara was an associate attorney at Shermeta Law Group, PLLC where she gained valuable experience practicing in the area of creditor’s rights and bankruptcy, representing banks, automotive manufacturers, and other lending institutions. Khara currently practices in the areas of general civil litigation, family law, juvenile law, and collections.
