Kathleen has been practicing law since 1994, concentrating in the areas of estate planning, trust administration and business transaction law. Kathleen's estate planning client base ranges from young couples just starting out to those clients with multi-million dollar estates in need of tax, gift, and charitable planning, as well as a basic estate plan. Additionally, Kathleen enjoys working with clients in the later stages of life to address those matters that can make the transitions that are inevitable proceed more smoothly, and as the client best intends. Kathleen's business practice focuses on smaller businesses in need of assistance regarding entity formation, contract negotiation, and employee matters, as well as the purchase and sale of businesses along the Central Coast and through Santa Clara County, with clients from San Francisco to Monterey. Kathleen is licensed to practice law in both California and Massachusetts, moving out from the East Coast to California in 2000. After almost four years at a local firm, she opened her own law practice in Santa Cruz in December of 2003. Kathleen is a member of the Santa Cruz County Estate Planning Council and is also on the Board of Directors for Bay Federal Credit Union, as well as Le Tip International, Capitola Chapter. In her free time, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her family (she has a husband, two small children, and a black lab mix the family rescued a couple years ago), exercise and outdoor activities, reading and baking.
