He also has experience in due diligence projects and preparation of acquisition and mortgage title opinions, negotiating and drafting mineral conveyances, oil and gas leases, assignments and right-of-way agreements, and representing working interest owners in receivership proceedings.

Joe earned his B.B.A. in Finance from Sam Houston State University in 1979 and his B.B.A. in Petroleum Land Management from The University of Texas at Austin in 1983. He earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University in 1991. After law school, Joe clerked for the Honorable Joe J. Fisher, United States District Judge, Eastern District of Texas.
