After graduating from the University of Virginia Law School and completing a year as a law clerk in the United States Federal Court, I started my legal career at a prominent law firm in Norfolk, Virginia. There, I had the privilege of learning from several highly skilled trial lawyers. The foundational principles of hard work, persistence, and thorough preparation were instilled in me during this time, and I have carried these values forward since co-founding Pierce Thornton with my partner in 1997.
I advocate for individuals and families dealing with a range of issues, from medical negligence injuries or wrongful death to traumatic brain injuries caused by negligent truck drivers or business owners.
My mission is to represent my clients with unwavering commitment, ensuring justice through tenacious and ethical representation. I handle a limited number of cases to dedicate significant time and effort to each, preparing thoroughly for trial. My team and I keep our clients well-informed about their case's progress and reassure them that we are committed to resolving their matters as swiftly and favorably as possible.
I am incredibly grateful to have represented hundreds of clients in the Tidewater area. Almost all of my clients have been referred to me by previous clients and their families, or by other attorneys who trust me to represent their friends, colleagues, or family members.
The most rewarding aspect of my work is assisting individuals and families in rebuilding their lives after experiencing significant loss or injury. Helping those who are injured or grieving to find justice and closure in their most challenging times brings profound meaning, motivation, and gratitude to my daily life.
