John Sullivan
John B. Sullivan has practiced criminal law almost exclusively since 2005. He has tried over forty-five jury trials throughout various counties in the state of Kansas. He has tried cases in both state and federal courts. He is a fierce advocate, a skilled litigator and a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. He is a firm believer in the personal rights afforded to us all by the United States Constitution and he will fight to protect those rights in every case he handles.
John B. Sullivan grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma, a small town in the Southern part of the state. He attended college at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri where he received a dual major in English and Political Science.
After college, John joined the United States Peace Corps. He spent a little over two years on the island of Kayangel in the Republic of Palau, a small nation in Micronesia. He worked there to improve the English language curriculum in the elementary school and to promote various environmental education projects.
Following the Peace Corps, John enrolled in law school at Washburn University, where he graduated with honors.
John began his career in the Sedgwick County Public Defenders Office in 2005 and has practiced almost exclusively in the field of criminal law ever since. Over the span of his career, he has tried over forty-five jury trials. John is licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Oklahoma.
