Attorney John Simonian, for 27 years, has helped hundreds of Rhode Islanders get on solid financial ground by representing them in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies. He has also successfully represented many clients do mortgage modifications and significantly reduce their monthly mortgage payments.
The Law Office of John Simonian has one of the highest client satisfaction ratings of any bankruptcy lawyer in the state. He is a longstanding member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and served as member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives from District 27 in eastern Cranston, from 1991-2003.
As a legislator he was Deputy Majority Leader, Chairman of the Commission on Criminal Justice, and Chairman of the Committee on Accounts and Claims. Attorney Simonian also successfully enacted legislation in the State of Rhode Island to permit people who file for bankruptcy to protect more of their possessions from being taken from them. Before the legislation he helped enact, there were no state protections for automobiles, jewelry, furniture, and other valuable possessions.
