History

Joel Johnson’s father was blinded in a accident several months before he was born. While friends played in after school sports and other activities, he took the streetcar each day to help his dad at the family gas station in St Paul, Minnesota. Experiences from his youth sensitized Joel to the many difficulties confronting disabled and injured persons.

When becoming an attorney he continued charitable efforts of helping others and affiliated with Dr. Richard Grossman, prominent burn surgeon. Through that relationship he was referred families of critically injured children, who other lawyers had rejected and described as “hopeless cases”.

Refusing to accept defeat, Joel never gave up and managed to succeed with those impossible cases Over the years his law practice has thrived on aggressive claim handling and proud referrals from former clients.
