Summary

I practice primarily in the areas of real estate law, probate, estate planning , guardianship, conservatorship and debt collection. I am conveniently located in mid-town near the court houses in Omaha.

I am a 1995 graduate of Creighton Law School, Cum Laude, and have been in solo practice most of the time since, working primarily in the state courts in Omaha and Sarpy County, and doing appellate work at the Nebraska Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

I previously served in the United States Marine Corps and managed computer facilities for McDonnell Douglas, prior to my legal career.

I am always looking forward to meeting new clients and finding new challenges in the legal profession.

Q. Is this even legal? What options do we have available.
A: You have stated there are 76 condo units. I would not be able to give any opinions without doing a conflict of interest check first. Based on your family's ownership of multiple units, I suggest you make an actual office appointment with an attorney.
Q. How do I recover money paid to a contractor who never finished the job? My elderly uncle prepaid for tree removal.
A: You might consider Small Claims Court.
Q. I owe $7000 for damage in an auto accident. Told the collection agency I can pay $100 per month. All I can afford.
A: Under Nebraska law the insurer or their collection agency can sue you for the $7,000. If they get a judgment they can typically garnish 25 percent of your wages if you are not head of household, 15 percent if you are head of household, and they can garnish 100 percent of your bank account unless its under an exemption such as Social Security payments. If this will prevent you from being able to pay your bills you might want to consult with a bankruptcy attorney in their office, which is typically no cost.
