Biography

I founded Boston Employment Law PC in 2016, continuing my practice in employment law, business litigation and appeals, which began in 1986. In the employment area, I represent both employers and employees before state and federal administrative agencies and courts in cases involving: wage payment and overtime claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Massachusetts law; sexual harassment; age, race, disability and sex discrimination; wrongful termination; and trade secrets and non-competition agreements. I also counsel clients regarding day-to-day employment law issues involving COBRA; the Family and Medical Leave Act; reasonable accommodation to disabled employees; employment contracts; severance; and employee handbooks.

I have handled hundreds of employment cases over the years. Most of my cases settle (as do most civil cases) but I have tried many cases in court (both jury and jury-waived), as well as before adminstrative agencies and arbitrators.

Apart from the employment area, I have substantial litigation experience in business and corporate law issues including: shareholder and other corporate disputes; real estate disputes, including partition actions; the Uniform Commercial Code; fraudulent conveyance law; debtor-creditor matters; and business torts.
