Iowa will electronically report your conviction to Florida's Department of Highway, Safety, and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), which will then require you to comply with various restrictions. A: Yes. The Department of Highway, Safety, and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) will require you to show proof of installation in a motor vehicle that you designate as your primary vehicle, at the time you request your driver's license. A "P" will be placed on your driving record which alerts officers that you are required to have an IID in your vehicle if your are the driver.
