Ed Walsh has practiced law in Williamson County, Texas for over forty years.
He was elected District Attorney of Williamson County in 1976 and was re-elected in 1980 and 1984. During his tenure as District Attorney, he was twice selected as “Prosecutor of the Year” for the State of Texas.
Mr. Walsh has been in private practice in Round Rock Texas since 1986. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell peer-review rating of AV, the highest possible rating.
Mr. Walsh practices family, criminal defense and civil litigation. He has been board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law since 1990 and in Civil Trial Law since
1991.
Mr. Walsh has built his practice primarily on word-of-mouth among clients and trusted referrals from colleagues and associates. Mr. Walsh was presented the First Annual “Skip Morse Award” in 2003. In 2011, Mr. Walsh received the First Annual “Distinguished Lawyer Award” by the Williamson County Bar Association.

- Elected District Attorney of Williamson County in 1976 by defeating two other candidates, including the then-incumbent County Attorney. Took office on January 1, 1977 as one of the State’s youngest District Attorneys. Reelected without opposition in 1980 and 1984. Served 8 ½ years as District Attorney until resigning to run for Attorney General of Texas in July, 1985.
