Being accused of a crime is one of the scariest, most stressful situations one can ever be in. It is also one of those times in life that people are confused about what to do. Drew Fritsch Law Firm, P.A. is here to provide you with knowledge, guidance, advice as well as a vigorous defense. I will take the time to meet with you and keep you informed in the process regarding every phase of your case. I will work with you to obtain the best result possible in your case whether it be a resolution or a trial.
I have been practicing criminal law for over twenty years. I worked as a prosecutor in both Charlotte and Lee counties for eight years. This gives me the unique ability to look at the case from both sides of view. I have worked as a defense attorney representing individuals since then. Unlike many other firms, I will be the only attorney handling your case. Your case will not be handed off to a new associate attorney who may not have the experience, knowledge of your case as well as local knowledge that I possess. You have many options in deciding whom to hire to defend you. I encourage you to hire the law firm you feel most comfortable with and who will listen to your concerns. If you read a few reviews on this site, you will see the kind of service I like to provide.

- Q. What happens with a warrant for a first VOP due to technical violations in Florida?
- A: The answer to your question would require a little more information. It sounds like you are on felony probation and allegedly violated some conditions not indicating a new arrest. If the warrant has already issued it will likely have a bond recommendation which more often than not is a no bond hold. That would require you to remain in custody till at the very least first appearance or more likely a bond hearing before the original sentencing judge.
If the violations are financial for not paying costs it is likely not much will happen. If the violation is for testing positive they may want to amend your probation to drug offender probation which requires more frequent testing and a curfew. ... Read More
- Q. Received summons for petit theft in Florida, first offense. What to do?
- A: You should definitely consult with an attorney prior to your arraignment. If the property was worth $100 or more it is actually a first degree misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. If you can't afford to hire a private attorney you can apply for the public defender as well. Wal-Mart doesn't make a settlement offer. They are a witness/victim. The State Attorney's Office will be prosecuting your case and would make any offer.
If you have no prior record you may be able to get pre-trial diversion which could lead to the case being dismissed. Also, if this supposedly happened two years ago you may be able to get it dismissed based on a violation of the statute of limitations. ... Read More
- Q. Do I report adjudication withheld for traffic misdemeanor in FL on job applications?
- A: This answer is based on you having no other connection to the criminal justice system. If the question is phrased "convicted of a crime" you would be correct in answering "no." If the application asks about arrests or mentions had adjudication withheld you would properly answer "yes." In Florida a withhold of adjudication means you are not convicted. This is very important for felony charges.
