I provide a variety of legal services for many private clients. My skills include drafting and reviewing civil complaints, litigation, motions, and drafting and review of many different types of contracts. From 2002 through 2008, I presented clients’ land development projects to city and county commissions for the approval of tentative subdivision maps and zone changes and assisted clients in land acquisitions and sales. I have appeared before the Land Use Board of Appeals on various land use appeals for clients and prepared LUBA briefs and motions for both petitioner and respondent. I organized a client’s development team for a major municipal water project, including obtaining approval from all government agencies. I have been successful in acquiring necessary easements for land development through negotiation with neighboring landowners. My clients included individuals, corporations, and public benefit non-profits. Since 2009, I have prepared Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Reorganization Plans and Disclosure Statements, and continue my solo practice representing clients in civil litigation related to real estate law

The position required me to independently analyze, appraise and organize facts, evidence and precedents and present such material orally and in writing in clear and logical form, and to explain relevant policies and procedures and matters of law when necessary. I Independently drafted legal instruments such as ordinances, resolutions, and contracts and analyzed and appraised a variety of legal documents and instruments for many Departments within the county, specifically, Property Management, Health and Human Services, Jackson County-Medford International Airport, and Human Resource Services.

Prepared and prosecuted felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. Researched, drafted and argued motions and responses. Evaluated criminal cases for appropriate charges and legal sufficiency. Handled arraignment, sentencing, and probation violation hearings as scheduled. Completed 58 jury trials and 100+ bench trials. Successfully prosecuted a major racketeering case. Obtained highest conviction percentage for five or more jury trials among all Jackson County Deputy District Attorneys for 1996 and 1998. Trained and managed several student interns with a desire to become an attorney.
