Biography

Deborah Cook’s life-long passion is families. Licensed as a Marriage and Family counselor, she provided help to families in conflict for over thirty years. Deborah Cook transferred her talent to the exclusive practice of Family Law. She cares deeply, and loves the opportunity to help others. Deborah is an excellent listener and straight forward communicator. She zealously works hard for her clients in an effort to restore balance and happiness in their lives. She is generous with her time and energy. It is her practice to help disputing parties resolve their issues before relying on the court to decide their family’s fate. A skilled legal counselor and licensed mediator, Deborah understands the importance for people to chart their own future. However, when individuals cannot come to any reasonable agreements, Deborah Cook is an intense advocate at trial. She is prepared, organized and gifted, telling your story to the judge.
Deborah Cook is an active member of the Central Florida community having grown up in Orlando and raised her family here. She has provided countless hours as a volunteer and community supporter in organizations such as the Orange County School Board, The Episcopal Counseling Center, College Park Neighborhood Association, Boy Scouts of America and Citrus Counsel for Girl Scouting. Currently Deborah Cook is a member of Orange County Bar Association, Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers, The Elder Law Committee, Family Inn of Court and the Collaborative Family Law Group of Central Florida. She participates in many leadership roles in these organizations.
Perhaps her most important accomplishment is her marriage to Tom Cook and the raising of three outstanding adult children. Her advice is to commit your time and energy to the people who will remember that you made a difference.
