David Smith is a lawyer at Chicago Trusted Attorneys™, bringing his fifteen years of experience to clients charged with criminal offenses. This includes people charged with DWIs, domestic violence, or those seeking to get their criminal records sealed.
David Smith studied for his undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University. Before attending law school at Michigan State University - College of Law, he worked at the Ingham County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as a clerk. He also clerked for an Ingham County Circuit Court Judge.
While attending law school, he continually honed his legal skills by graduating from the Trial Practice Institute. This prestigious program, offered to only thirty students each year, honed his trial skills to better serve the criminal defense clients he would later represent. Once he graduated with his law degree, he passed the Illinois bar exam and was ready to practice law in Chicago.
After passing the bar exam, he started his legal career as an associate at a Chicago insurance defense litigation firm. There, he honed his skills in writing, research, and conducting arbitration hearings. After developing these skills at this firm, he opened his own law firm in 2007.
As his law firm grew, David Smith focused on criminal law cases. These cases allowed him to assist people who have been charged with crimes, which became a focus and a passion for him. Today, that has led to thousands of cases handled for those accused of crimes and facing harsh legal penalties.
Those thousands of cases have helped David Smith and his firm prepare for cases like yours. That gives them an advantage for clients facing misdemeanor or felony cases.
If you’re facing a criminal case and you’re worried about taking the right steps for your legal case, David Smith and his team at Chicago Trusted Attorneys™ are here to help. He has the resources, experience, and passion you need on your side when you’re facing a possible conviction
