Chicago criminal defense attorney Darryl A. Goldberg is an aggressive advocate who is no stranger to high profile cases or the high stakes world of federal court.
In his federal criminal defense practice, Mr. Goldberg assists individuals throughout the United States who are or may be the focus of federal criminal investigations (pre-indictment), and individuals who have already been formally indicted or charged and are facing prosecution in any of our nation's federal district courts.
Although Mr. Goldberg offers effective criminal defense representation against any type of federal charge, his primary focus is on defending individuals charged with white collar crimes such as mail fraud, wire fraud, mortgage fraud and similar offenses, and with drug charges such as conspiracy, possession with intent to distribute, importation and related offenses, including money laundering and tax fraud, and related asset forfeitures.
In the course of his criminal defense practice, his clients have included professional athletes, celebrities, doctors, lawyers, accountants, and law enforcement officers.
In Chicago, Cook County and northern Illinois, Mr. Goldberg also represents individuals charged with serious state court felonies, including murder, attempted murder, aggravated battery and armed robbery; sex offenses such as criminal sexual abuse or possession of child pornography; and felony drug offenses such as possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, drug trafficking and drug sales, and manufacturing or distribution (delivery).
Mr. Goldberg is an active member of numerous bar associations and professional organizations, including a life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has also chaired committees and written articles for the American and Chicago Bar Associations, and he regularly appears on national and international television and radio programs as a legal commentator.

- Q. Are there different camera views on police vehicles in Illinois ?
- A: Most police squad cars that are equipped with cameras have front facing cameras (commonly referred to as "dash cams") as well as rear cameras and/or rear-view mirror mounted cameras that monitor occupants in the backseat area.
- Q. What is Illinois statute 720 5/12-21.6(a)?
- A: That is an older statutory citation for Endangering the Life of Health of a Child. It has been renumbered in the Criminal Code under 720 ILCS 5/12C-5. This can be a very serious allegation that can be charged as both a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on whether a conviction would result in the first or a subsequent violation of this section, or most seriously when it results in the death of a child.
