Dan has worked for marijuana legalization and other drug law reforms for over 50 years, both in MO and nationally. He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including President of the MO Assn of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Unsung Hero Award from the NAACP.

I was also active during Law School in opposition to marijuana prohibition. We placed an initiative on the ballot in Columbia decriminalizing possession and effectively legalizing medical use and possession in 1986 and 2004.

Honors: President of the Graduate and Professional Council, representing all Graduate, Law, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine Students.

Activities: Active in opposition to University investments in companies doing business in South Africa, where racist apartheid policies prevailed until the mid 1980s. The University eventually did divest from such companies due to our efforts.
