D. Michael Phillips
TBI, Spine and Back Injury Lawyer| Staying on the Cutting Edge of Medicine
PHILLIPS PERSONAL INJURY.
WE ALWAYS PROTECT THE UNDERDOG. We are passionate about protecting our clients and you shouldn’t have to pay for the mistakes of others. We can help you determine if you have a case, deal with insurers to negotiate a settlement, and identify all possible defendants to help you recover FULL AND FAIR compensation for your injury.
Not all law firms are the same, especially Plaintiff trial firms, or more specifically, personal injury law firms. Unlike other lawyers on this site, Phillips Personal Injury is FOCUSED 100% to representing individuals and families who have been harmed by the acts of others. We NEVER represent insurance companies fighting claims from injured people. We only help those who need it most, because every person deserves quality injury representation when they have been wronged. We know personal injury law! We don't do criminal defense, landlord tenant or business law and we are committed to obtaining full and fair compensation for our clients.
And because we stay on the cutting edge of medicine, we have been able to build relationships with the best treatment providers and experts in California, who can connect the dots of a brain and back injury across different medical specialties, helping or clients achieve the best possible outcome in their case.
We know what we’re doing and we’re here to help. Contact us today (530) 265-0186 for a no charge confidential consultation.

Free Consultation
I offer no-charge consultations and we can “meet” via video chat or Zoom. Not sure if you have a case? Are friends and family telling you to call a lawyer? Are you starting to be suspicious about the insurance adjuster you’re dealing with? Have questions? We are happy to talk with you about your situation and your concerns, and how we can help you though this challenging process. It’s easy — just give us a call. -
Contingent Fees
All personal injury matters are handled on a contingency fee basis (i.e. no out of pocket or upfront costs or charges to the client.) There are no fees unless we win. It's that simple. We’re in this together. When we do obtain a settlement, we are reimbursed an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement as our fee for attorney services and advanced costs are repaid. We also use a written fee agreement in all matters. -
Rates, Retainers and Additional Information
It doesn't cost a dime to talk to me, and I'm happy to answer your questions about your legal rights and options. Unlike many other law firms I don't charge interest on the case costs that I advance, and you only pay costs when the case settles. You don't have to pay expenses up-front as happens with many law firms. We also use a sliding scale on contingency matters starting lower than most large firms.
