Brian Snell
At the Law Office of Brian C. Snell, you are treated like family.
I am the principal of the Law Office of Brian C. Snell located in Marblehead and also work as a REALTOR with The Agency Marblehead. My legal practice focuses on Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Guardianships, and Elder Law. I hold degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Suffolk University Law School.
Having recently moved to Marblehead, I have engaged with the community by volunteering with Marblehead Arts during the July 4th Celebrations. Additionally, I transferred my Rotary membership to the Marblehead Rotary Club. Since 2023, I have been serving on the Board of Directors and was also a member of the 100 Year Celebration Committee. Previously, while living in Reading, I was deeply involved in local affairs, serving as a Town Meeting Member, participating in various school councils, and chairing the Reading Council on Aging for over five years. I continue to offer pro bono legal services to the Reading Knights of Columbus, maintain connections with the Reading Rotary, and serve on the Board of Directors of the Reading Coalition for Prevention and Support (formerly RCASA). In addition to serving at a very local level, I serve my wider community through my involvement with Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) as the President of the Board of Directors since 2022, after having served many years as a Board Member. I have seen first hand how MVES helps older adults and people with disabilities, both as an Elder Law Attorney and probably more importantly as a family member. Their staff is committed to helping their clients find solutions to the issues that they struggle with and they actually become a member of the family to share a perspective that other family members may not easily see.
My wife Linda and I are proud parents to three daughters—Kate, Caroline, and Tricia. I have two beautiful granddaughters, Maggie and Rosie, who pull every heart string available.

- Represent buyers and sellers in Essex and Middlesex counties. As a Seller Broker Associate I meet with home owners and discuss the fair market value of their home. We identify the steps of the process and once listed, show the home to prospective buyers. After all offers are reviewed and the winning offer is accepted, I help navigate the closing process and the eventual move for the Sellers. As a Buyer Broker Associate I meet with hopeful home buyers and we define the characteristics of the home they are searching for and I find homes that meet their hopes and requirements. When one is identified, we write the offer and after it is accepted we facilitate the closing process and help the Buyers to find services that will help them move into their new home. After the closing, we remain a resource to our Buyers for the various needs that evolve and present themselves over the duration of their ownership.

- I began my career in banking in the Mortgage Servicing Department of Bank of New England. I was quickly promoted to the supervisor of the Audit and Control Department. After a year or so, I transferred to the Audit Department where I would remain for eight years surviving the failure of the bank and many acquisitions by the Fleet Financial Group following the take over. I transferred to the Treasury and Capital Markets Department in 1994 and remained there until the merger between Fleet and BankBoston. I was responsible for the documentation department for products bought and sold such as swaps, foreign exchange and repurchase agreements. My success in that department influenced my decision to attend law school.
